The AMC staff in new york is comprised of over 80 veterinarians  who utilize an interdisciplinary team approach combining expertise in more than 25 key specialties and services to care for our pets 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Today in class we learned to distinguish parallelism in a paragraph. Parallelism is when two or more phrases have the same structure. We also reviewed topic sentence paragraphs and why its important for sentences to hold hands.

Our reaction to part 1 of The Last Meow is shock to the information that we learned about Shawn Levering  and his family. The vivid details it provided made it easy for us to get into the story. If i was in their position I would not go all the way to New York to save an already dying cat. I love pets, but for the financial situation they're in, it just doesn't seem logical to go through all this trouble. By what we have read so, I can get a mental picture of what type of man Shawn is. Shawn Levering, in my opinion, is a man that is devoted to take care of anything that he own, as told by how much time he spends working on his cars.

There are many things that we learned in class today: what a descriptive paragraph is, what a contrast paragraph is, how to use a colon, we reviewed how an essay should hold hands, and brushed up on our pathos and logos.
A descriptive paragraph is a paragraph that introduces ideas and describes them in detail. A contrast paragraph is a type of writing that compares a new idea with and idea that has been already introduced. When a paragraph holds hands, the new paragraph references the previous paragraph. Pathos is the emotional aspect in a writing piece and logos is the logic in the writing

1. The title of our next essay is "The Last Meow." What do you think this essay will be about and why?
My predictions for this essay are that there are pets with rare diseases that can kill or severely hurt the creature. Another prediction that  have is that the diseases can be passed to the owner and therefore endangering the life of the owner.

2. How important are pets in your life and in the lives of the people you know?

Pets are a big part in my life. Having that companionship unbreakable by any force is nice. My dogs are up there with my family in what I love. If anything were to ever happen to them I don't know what I would do.

Vocab. Paragraph

As Sally stared into Seymour's hypnotizing eyes, her face became ruddy. As their visions locked the world transformed. She thought she was in love, but realized her vision was bad, so she went to the ophthalmologist. The doctor called the oncologist who found a tumor in her eyes. To add to the sadness she is also anemic. Nothing has ever worked out for Sally since her baby brother was born congenitally blind. She sat at home one day, in retrospect, thinking about her bad life. Suddenly she grabbed her bags and was borne away into the night. As Sally walked down the dark road, she encountered a mayo clinic. As she walked in she looked around and saw how utilitarian a tooth brush was, she always took them for granted. Her intent was to steal a tooth brush to brush her teeth. She sat on the chair waiting to be called up and she over heard a conversation between two people about religion and science, she noticed the dichotomy between the two topics and thought it was funny how heated the talk got. She started to doze off and the usual clientele showed up, your typical bum, poor people, and even the crazy cat lady down the street from her house. The crazy cat lady brought her cat in with her, she said to her self "Who does that?" to her luck the cat was shedding and dander flew everywhere. Sally pulled out her albuteral inhaler, for you see sally also had a very bad case of asthma.
